Colegio Mayor Marqués de la Ensenada
For those who prefer it, there is the possibility of staying in a residence hall located just ten minutes walk from the Conference venue. The Colegio Mayor Marqués de la Ensenada, recently renovated, will also host the participants at the IASSCS Post-conference Training.

Santa Cruz de Marcenado Youth Hostel 
The cheapest lodging option in town is the Youth Hostel Santa Cruz de Marcenado, a few meters from the Hotel Husa Princesa and Moncloa. To stay there it is necessary to hold the International card, otherwise you must pay an extra € 3.50 per night.

Price per room for people under 26 years: 8.50 €
Price per room for people over 26 years: € 12.96 €

The services offered in the hostel are pretty basic. The rooms are divided by gender and are shared between 2, 4, 6 or 8 people. The bathrooms are shared by floor and sheets are included in the price.

Madrid: General Information and Tips
Airport: Madrid-Barajas Airport. Tel: (+34) 902 404 704. For entering the Madrid Airport website, click here. The subway to downtown Madrid costs US$ 2.5 and a taxi from the airport to Madrid costs $27-$35. Both should be paid in Euros.
Languages: Spanish is the official language, but English and German are spoken by tourist related workers.
Money: The Spain currency is the Euro (€). The rate of exchange is approximately 1 USD = 0.721 Euro. Foreign currencies can be exchanged at the bank or exchange bureaus. Exchange offices are open for longer hours than banks but generally offer poorer rates. Also, keep a sharp eye open for commissions at bureaus de change.
Credit Cards: Major cards (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Cirrus, Amex) are accepted. They can be used in many hotels, restaurants and shops. Credit cards can also be used in ATMs displaying the appropriate sign.
