Spanish Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transexual Federation

The Spanish LGBT Federation (FELGTB) was created in 1992 to coordinate the Spanish associative movement of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people. More than 60 LGBT organizations share resources, activities and policy strategies. The FELGTB fights for the sexual minorities’ rights, their legal recognition (same-sex marriage, gender identity law) and their identities (LGBT pride, LGBT culture) through campaigns, media presence, advocacy, conferences, demonstrations and services for the community trough its member associations. One of the objectives of the FELGTB is supporting education and research on sexual diversity, and that is the reason why the FELGTB actively supports and participates in the organization of the VIII IASSCS Biannual 2011 Conference in Madrid.

Institute of Studies in Health, Sexuality and Human Development (Instituto de Estudios en Salud, Sexualidad y Desarrollo Humano, IESSDEH)

The Institute of Studies in Health, Sexuality and Human Development is a Peruvian non-governmental organization constituted to promote and develop activities for the improvement of public and social policies in areas related to health, sexuality and human rights, from a multidisciplinary and participatory perspective.

Born in June 2007 from the Research Unit with the same name at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH), School of Public Health, the institute aims to expand its work at the community level, through public activities in advocacy and human rights, and through research and technical work conducted mainly within the university.

Madrid Convention Bureau

The Madrid Convention Bureau is a non-profit organisation created by the City Council in collaboration with a group of public and private companies from the sector, with a view to promoting Madrid as a city capable of hosting national and international meetings and aiming to enable these events from a technical and institutional viewpoint. Since 2008, the Bureau has been a department of the Empresa Municipal de Promoción de Madrid and currently groups some 200 members.
