The journal of Homosexuality is preparing a special issue about the United States policy regarding gays and Lesbians serving in the military. From 1993 until 2010 the United States Department of Defence adopted a policy commonly known as "Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell" , wich permitted homosexual members to serve in the military as long as no evidence of homosexual behaviour existed.
Reflecting on the 20 year old period governed by the "Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell" policy , the Journal of Homosexuality is receiving papers from different disciplines for this special issue.
All submissions will be subjected to peer review. Manuscript deadline is Monday, January 2, 2012. Send Manuscripts to Guest Editor, Jim Parco at jim.parco@coloradocollege.edu.
