September 2011 - Call for Advancing Sexuality Short Course Initiatives

IASSCS invites academic and research institutions from the Global South to submit proposals for the co-delivery of the Advancing Sexualities Studies Short Course.

Interested institutions are asked to:

Propose a short course using a selection of existing modules best suited for local needs and interests,
Develop a local team capable of sharing organizational and teaching responsibilities, adapting the course, and securing funds.
Secure funds that will be matched by IASSCS up to US$ 20,000.
To show commitment to use course modules in your own training activities.

IASSCS will offer:

Experts in the field to co-deliver the course and facilitate the academic discussion among participants.
Training resources and methodologies to strengthen development of sexuality courses and trainings locally.
Matching funds to cover course expenses (up to US$ 20,000)
IASSCS international network of researchers and activists.
